XEROX was founded in New York in 1906 as 'The Haloid Photographic Company' later changing to 'Haloid Xerox' and finally in 1961 'Xerox Corporation'. In 1963 they released the first desktop plain paper copier, masterminded by a physicist and former patent attorney Chester Carlson. Followed in 1973 with the exciting release of a colour copier. Xerox production has continued to develop seeing them as one of the most recognised manufacturers of office print equipment today.
